There are several factors influencing men’s fashion today. However, it seems that the stylishness of the 1950’s continues to have an effect on how gentlemen dress themselves. Here are three timeless styles still seen today:
Rock ‘n Roll. Edgy fashion prevails to this day and men have figured out a way to transform John Travolta’s look in Grease into something rebellious yet alluring. White t-shirts and leather jackets, dark wash jeans, and black lace boots are considered staples. Paired with the quiff, the rock ‘n roll style is casual, easy to wear, and has great character.
The Ivy League College Style. Chic and elegant, the Ivy League College look is thought to have originated in campuses. It is noted for the use of blazers and sharp suits offering it unmatched preppy elegances.
The Cowboy Look. The ruggedness of this look gives the wearer a manly aesthetic. This look is still very prevalent today. It consists of denim (shirts, pants, or jackets) and suede boots with stirrups. Nowadays, there are contemporary options to transform this look into an appropriate style for the day.
