Transplanted from Southern England to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas, Claire Jane, international Artist and Designer to some of the biggest names in the world with her ICJUK fashion line, is stirring up a storm and doing it her way – which is making you look and feel fabulous… one person at a time.
British import Claire Jane Vranian, Artist, Creator and Designer, started her career in the film industry working with a special make-up effects company in Hollywood in 1994. Originally born in England in 1971, Claire Jane has always had an interest in theater, movies and music. Working closely with writers, directors, painters, sculptors, actors and artists of every kind, Claire Jane’s artistic mind starting to pull her away into her own work as an Artist. In 2009, after working in such a rich ‘environment of creativity,’ ‘Inspired by Claire Jane’ was born – now known as ICJUK (Inspired By Claire Jane UK).
Her first creations were custom vintage feathered handbags & hair fascinators. “I wanted to create a feel of old glamorous Hollywood meets Rock ‘N Roll with a splash of the decadence of Marie Antoinette”, and by up-cycling one-of-a-kind vintage handbags they really are the ultimate collector’s accessory,” states Claire Jane. Utilizing cruelty-free feathers, rhinestones, semi-precious embellishments, skulls and eye-catching antique jewelry, her handbags have been seen at Award shows and Red Carpet events internationally. No two handbags or hair pieces are alike, which makes them so unique and exclusive to her clientele. “Go big or go home”, Claire Jane says when wearing one of her pieces of wearable art – they truly are quite outrageous and definitely a conversation piece! They can be worn with that little black dress or with jeans and one of her Rock & Roll shirts. Claire Jane loves to create custom orders and works one on one with her customers at all levels, be it questions on a shirt size or color and fit. “I love interacting with my customers as I’m always excited to share my story of why I created a certain design or used a specific embellishment. I feel privileged to do so. That’s what makes it all worthwhile – making someone smile and feel special.”
Claire Jane’s art graphics have been seen worldwide on and off stage & the television screen. She has created a growing line of ICJUK shirts for the ‘Rock Star’ in everyone. Joe Elliott from Def Leppard has been a fantastic supporter of the ICJUK brand and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin has been spotted rocking ICJUK shirts, amongst various other celebrities who have been seen on and off stage and in magazines throughout the world. Every graphic design is created by Claire Jane and each one has a story behind it which makes it unique. Most recently, she has created graphics from her raw pencil art drawings and her ocean photographs which can be seen on shirts, fabrics and other products. ‘I feel as an artist it’s important to grow, nothing is ever complete and I love to create new techniques of showcasing my art.’ Claire Jane draws inspiration from everywhere but one of the main factors in her creative journey is that she practices Transcendental Meditation every day, which give her clarity and vision to stay focused and run her business effectively, and still have time to design and party!
The latest artistic brand and series by artist Claire Jane is ‘Ocean Anarchy by ICJUK’. This is a fun, cheeky ocean-inspired line of wearable art. The name “Ocean Anarchy” was inspired by her investor/business partner Kirk Beeton(aka “The Captain”), who is also responsible for the fabulous showroom in Las Vegas.
