There’s a moment I never get tired of. Someone holds one of my pieces for the first time, and I can see it in their face: they get it. They see what I saw when I was making it.
I’ve come to realise that when someone buys from me, it isn’t really about money. It’s about trust. They’re trusting me with something personal, whether it’s a gift for someone they love, a piece to mark a moment in their life, or simply something that speaks to who they are. They’ve seen my vision and chosen to make it part of theirs. That means the world to me.
Over the years, something beautiful has happened. Many of the people who first came to me as customers have become true friends. We talk about life, family, travel, workouts and everything in between. Sometimes we don’t even talk about business or sales at all, and that’s lovely, because I really do care about people.
I’m very blessed in what I do. It’s so much fun, I absolutely love it, and it truly is my passion. I get inspired all over again every time somebody puts on one of my pieces and looks so happy.
When you truly care about someone, you don’t want every conversation to be a sales pitch. You want to know how they’re doing. That’s how I’ve always run my business: person first, piece second. Every bracelet and handbag I make is one of a kind, and I think the people who wear them deserve to be treated that way too.
So if you’ve ever bought from me, thank you. Not just for supporting my art, but for letting me into a little corner of your world. And if we haven’t met yet, I’d love to change that. Come and say hello. No pressure, just a friend who happens to make wearable art.
