In August 2016 Elly Brown from the Las Vegas Sun came to my private showroom off the Strip, and her headline was “British fashion invades the Vegas desert.” Imagine her surprise when the front room looked like a surf shop! It was dedicated to Ocean Anarchy. “It’s perfect because I’m British, we’re in the desert, there’s no beach, there’s no ocean; it’s complete anarchy.”

My four styling tips

1. Rock ‘n’ roll tee. “I love to wear mine with jeans and a biker jacket. For the guys, a ‘rock and chic’ look with a suit jacket and jeans.”
2. Feathered handbag and fascinator. “Fabulous for the red carpet, cocktail party or wedding… It’s really a conversation piece!”
3. Custom Converse. “A perfect addition to a suit jacket and an ICJUK T-shirt and jeans.”
4. Beach dress. Worn as a pool cover-up, or in the evening with shorts or jeans.

We talked about the vintage handbags I up-cycle from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, with cruelty-free feathers. “These bags are blank canvases for me.” We also talked about Union Jane, my Musicfest design and Flaire, who I’ve been drawing since I was 12.
